Auditorium Neighbourhood Association

The Auditorium Neighbourhood Association began in 2001 the process to find a permanent location in the community that would act as a visible presence for the Association within the neighbourhood and a central location for organizing and running ANA initiatives.

A site, the decommissioned Hydro Substation at the corner of East Avenue and Stirling Avenue was considered for this purpose.

In cooperation, the City of Kitchener Community Services Department, and the management of the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium the ANA Board drafted a proposal that was taken to City Council and accepted unanimously by the Community Services Committee of City Council in the spring of 2002.
